As Sick As Us! The heavy metal band that fills venues to capacity and then rips the house down brick by brick!

The band started playing gigs at birthday parties then progressed to yard/block parties. Then... finally on one sunny day in 2008 ASAU was able to book a show at The Boiler Room, a new and upcoming venue in downtown Asheville. Located in the historic Grove Building across from the federal building, The Boiler Room quickly became the night spot to be at for live music in Asheville.

After 'paying our dues' and playing some pretty dead middle of the week shows, the venue liked what they heard and started letting ASAU play Friday and Saturday night slots. In a short amount of time the word spread and with the help of our friends and the local musical community, the crowds started to grow! Before we knew what was happening ASAU was filling the venue and the house was moshing...

In a short time the band was playing regular gigs at The Boiler Room. ASAU then started branching out to other venues in the region both in North and South Carolina.

Having a large inventory of sound equipment and stage lighting ASAU also started to collaborate with other local bands to put on shows in surrounding counties in an effort to reach out to all the rivet heads across the region.

Our fan base continues to grow and we now have regular bookings out to six months in advance. ASAU continues to practice hard to refine their art and to bring you the best sounding metal music possible.

We don't want to be just another loud metal band- We want to be the best and tightest sounding loud music metal band, nothing less will do. We demand a lot from ourselves and our sound quality at live shows proves it. You decide for yourself, come to a show and tell us what you think- We'll listen and try to make it better for you...
